Apart from the fear of one member of the WembleyWonderful becoming sick, my biggest nightmare since confinement started has been… what to cook for all these people at home all the time??? Leaving breakfast aside, I need to provide 14 meals a week for 6 people… 84 “couverts” as they say in restaurants… Arrrrrgggghhhh!!!
If you read my newsletters religiously (of course), you will know that I love planning all family meals on a weekly basis - if you missed or forgot about this one newsletter here it is. I love planning more than ever in the current environment as it prevents too many trips for grocery shopping. But obviously planning 14 meals every week is an absolute nightmare – I now post all my weekly meal plans on my personal blog , both in French and in English, do not hesitate to have a look if it can help!
As for inspiration, my main references currently are:
- The Cookidoo app by Thermomix (pay-for) and the Australian Thermomix recipe community;
- The Yummix cooking blog and these two books by the blog author;
- This book on bouddha bowls, this one on soups and this one on salads.
As for my favourite recipes currently, I recently posted all of them here . Quite a few of them can be cooked by the kids, which is my big plans for the coming two weeks I admit! Wish me luck…
Happy cooking while staying at home!
