Lettres jamais écrites by Estelle Savasta

Hi Wembley Folks,

Do you Know Valerie Puesh? She is a Wembley mum and a very talented actress who will present the last play of Estelle Savasta, Lettres jamais ecrites , where she is performing in french a very touching duo with his partner in January 2020.

“Write the one letter that you’ve never written…”

This was the instruction given to Year 11 pupils in Cavaillon, France, where writer Estelle Savasta was in residence for a year. Colin wrote to his dead grandfather , Maxime to the son he might one day have, Elisa to her existence… and so on.

Each one of these letters was then given to a writer who had to reply as if they were the one receiving the letter: replying as Co- lin’s grandfather, Maxime’s son, Elisa’s existence…

The result is a rich tapestry of voices and experiences, that playfully explores what it means to be a person in the world today and asks the question: do we really know more the older we get?
